AI Data Center Power Infrastructure Early 2026
In early 2026, IOM Components partnered with a leading AI data center developer to deliver a critical power distribution package supporting high-density, mission-critical operations.
The scope included medium voltage duplex load-break switches, 15 kV medium voltage dry-type step-down transformers, and low voltage distribution switchgear, engineered to support reliability, redundancy, and rapid deployment requirements typical of AI and hyperscale data center environments.
All equipment was designed, integrated, and delivered on an accelerated schedule—meeting aggressive project timelines without compromising quality, safety, or performance. The successful execution of this project highlights IOM’s ability to respond quickly to the evolving demands of the AI data center market while delivering fully integrated power systems built to industry standards.
In 2023, IOM Components successfully delivered two (2) 20 MVA mobile substations for Volta Grid in support of Diamondback Energy’s electric frac operations.
These mobile substations were engineered specifically for deployment at mobile electric frac locations and integrated with Volta Grid’s 7-mile transmission line, supplied from the Volta Grid Fang Substation. Designed for rapid mobilization and reliable field performance, each system provided a complete medium-voltage power distribution solution.

A Majestic Barge
When MegaDrill Services Limited, based in Lafayette, LA decided to design and build the most technologically advanced drilling barge in the world, they had many challenges ahead of them. However, their decision to partner with a Long-standing Vacon® authorized OEM integrator like us to build the Power, Control and Drilling systems was an easy choice.
Xtreme Drilling Evolution 850xe
The 850 XE is a Premier Spec Drilling Rig with depth capacity ranging from 12,000 to 30,000 feet. This state-of-the-art designed AC 1,800 hp rig for multi-well pad drilling for both conventional and uncoventional resource development. Premier Spec features include; 850,000 lbs Max. hook load, 750,000 lbs walking setback rating, 1,600 hp Mud Pumps, 7,500 psi high pressure mud system, integrated AC 500 Ton Top Drive, Cat 3512 primary power engines and dual position capable catwalk system. We partnered with Xtreme Drilling to deliver (3) 850 series Drilling Rigs capable of achieving incredible performance.
